Spot on Jim.

In summary, for me, it is the cult of personality, arrogance, incompetence and corruption that have led to the deserved thumping and humiliation of that once great party.

The mundane, the mediocre and the malicious simply have to be rooted out, starting with Swinney himself who has been at or near the top of the party throughout the Sturgeon era. They are harming both Scotland's Cause and Scotland's people.

On Alex Salmond, he is damaged by the attempted stitch-up. He has been sorely wronged and I hope that he gets true justice and all the dirty dealings in the malign efforts made to jail him are brought to light when his 'misfeasance' case goes to court (possibly later this year).

With regard to British Labour, getting around one third of the popular vote and twice the amount of MPs that their ballot share merited - both in Scotland and UK wide - means that their 'victory' is built on sand. That will very quickly shift through the hourglass.

What was revealed was that he was not guilty, and that the charges, brought by an anonymous cabal, were all fabricated nonsense. In the worst of the charges, the alleged victim was found to have committed perjury in court. So where are the charges against her? And why do those who took part in this hatchet job still get to retain their anonymity? He is only scarred because his detractors say he is. Nothing else. And he is the ONLY pro-independence politician of any heft at the present time capable of moving the campaign forward. Sensible SNP members like Joanna Cherry, Fergus Ewing, Alex Neil and others need to think long and hard about what is important to them. But the SNP as a party is beyond the pale.

'Sleepy cuddles', though. Bleuch.

Is that the best you've got? Pretty lame isn't it?

It doesn't take a lot to sour the voter's image of someone, and the perception of sexual creepiness will easily do this. It might not be 'fair', but this is probably more likely to be the case if the individual concerned is not particularly physically attractive. Just the way it is.

I can't wait for his case against the Scottish Government to come to court. We'll see who's left standing after that! I hope he takes them to the cleaners! And BTW, would you say the same about the Birmingham Six, or the Guildford Four? Just leave an injustice unchallenged because, well, that's just 'the way it is?'

Far more relevant is the question: why are the alphabet women still getting to hide behind anonymity when they are known to have committed perjury?

Not missing the target and so incisive.

A hard read but necessary education.

Thankyou Jim
